Mothers: They labor twenty-four hours a day with no pay, not receiving at times, a single “Hooray!” Recognizing that mothers should be celebrated and supported even after the light and glitter disappear after Mothers’ Day, the First Seventh-day Adventist Church of Paterson officially launched its Mom Support Group ministry on Sabbath, April 6, 2024. This event, one of the many community-based initiatives undertaken by the northern New Jersey based church, honored over thirty five mothers. Not just an event, this initiative will be year-long as mothers in the community are mentored and empowered.
Members and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the selfless love and unwavering support of mothers. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and appreciation as speakers shared personal anecdotes, acknowledging the sacrifices and nurturing spirit of these extraordinary women.
